Eleven Years and Counting

I have been working for my company for 11 years today. Not quite the longest I have worked for a company but getting close. Last December, I received my 10 year award (the award is given to all employees who reach 10 years during the year). Besides a very nice wallet they include a 3 day trip. Choices include a 3 day Cruise to Ensenada, 3 days including air to Cabo, 3 days including air to Las Vegas and 3 days in Anaheim including passes to both Disney parks, or you can use the cash value towards any other trip you might plan. This is very generous of the owner considering this last year there were 48 employees who reached their 10th year here. Anyway, Happy Anniversary to me.

Anniversary Day

Much to my surprise I had my annual review today. I knew it was due today, but usually they are late by weeks so I was pleased it was on time. Not only on time, but a good review too.

Just before I left work for the gym, my new personal trainer called to say he had a cancellation and we could get started today. Of course the first day is spent getting measured (how embarrassing) and finding out how unfit you really are. It actually went pretty well, except for the measurements. Oh well, next measure is at 12 sessions and if I see any improvement I will be happy.
